About Me

I’m a UX Research and Engineer who recently graduated from the MS HCI program at the Georgia Institute of Technology.

Background in Research

  • Regional science fair contender in middle school

  • National forensics debater in high school

  • BS in Neuroscience and minor in bioinformatics from UCLA

  • Work as a registered behavior technician analyzing behavior patterns of individuals with autism

The Change

From a growing passion for coding and design, I looked to the UX and HCI fields as the culmination of my passions and my prior expertise in human behaviors. With my background, I can provide a holistic approach rooted in neuroscience and behavioral research.

My Impetus

I love Anime!

From the miraculous graphics, be it hand-drawn or computer-generated, to the intricate plotlines that delve into the struggles of being human, anime serve as windows into novel worlds brought to life by the passion and imagination of its creators.

Ordinal Scale

an animated movie that sparked my interest in mixed reality technology and led to my eventual pursuit of a career in HCI. In the movie, the characters use Virtual Reality to allow a person in a comatose state to communicate with others within a virtual space.

The concept showcases the use of technology to enhance our communication and is insightful to the potential that interactive technology has for improving human wellbeing.

My Goal

is to help tear down the boundaries and limitations that prevent the mutual understanding, cooperation, and acceptance between people through the use of technology that impacts our perception of the world around us.

Traveler

With my interest in anime, I have developed a strong preference for adventure. I love exploring new places, meeting new people, and experiencing the world in all its beauty. I am eager to embark on new and exciting ventures. My travels have taken me to Singapore, China, Mongolia, Guatemala, Canada, and various states across the U.S.

Linguaphile

I believe that effective communication is the key to solving many problems, whether they are global or personal. To that end, I enjoy learning languages, as they are the foundation of communication. Although I am not entirely fluent in any language except English, I have spent time learning Chinese, Japanese, and American Sign Language (ASL).

Musician

Music can induce states of calm analysis or exhilarating motivation. I listen to upbeat music while working and slower music to relax. From a young age, I learned to play the piano and guitar. Recently, I picked up the harmonica to have a portable instrument to play whenever the urge arises, as long as it's convenient for others.

Gamer

I enjoy gaming on PC, mobile, and console platforms, with a particular interest in strategy, role-playing, and multiplayer battle arena games. Strategy games challenge my problem-solving skills as I design intricate plans within the game’s constraints. Role-playing games let me adopt different personas, offering insights into diverse perspectives. Multiplayer battle arenas emphasize teamwork, helping me build communication and cooperation skills with teammates.
